Events Bass Coast are proud to present our proposal to host international athletes and their support team as part of the pre-Games training and competition activity for Victoria 2026.
Events Bass Coast offers a full-service support model that ensures that your team has everything they need to acclimatise to Australia and reach their optimum pre-games performance levels.
Our all-inclusive model allows your team to focus soley on their training and preparation for the XXIII (23rd) Commonwealth Games and ensures they have an exhilarating, balanced and memorable experience.

Location
Our region is on Bunurong land and has a rich indigenous history. We are home to some of Australia’s most iconic natural landmarks including rugged coastlines and beautiful hinterland.
Your team will be welcomed into a community that is safe, vibrant and diverse; with over 170 different cultures calling our region home.
Our positive and healthy community spirit is something that we are very proud of and what makes our region so unique.
The Athletes Village
The Athletes Village is located in San Remo, Bass Coast, just 80 minutes drive from the city of Melbourne and offers luxury, resort-style accommodation for your team.
Training Venues and Facilities
Athletes will have access to dynamic training venues and facilities within Bass Coast and in our neighbouring region, City of Casey. Our training venues all within 30-75mins from The Athletes Village.
Major Events Experience
We are passionate about health, sport and fitness and have a thorough understanding and expertise in hosting major sporting events in our region. We are properly equipped with the infrastructure to ensure your team feels safe and supported in their pre-Games training period.
Iconic Australian Experiences
Outside of training, your team will have access to once in a lifetime opportunities to experience Australian culture. From adventures in our beautiful natural landscapes to adrenaline pumping racing at our Grand Prix Circuit, opportunities for rest and recovery at our beaches and hot springs, and access to some of Australia’s best local food and produce. There really is something for everyone!
Volunteers and Support Staff
We will provide a team of dedicated volunteers and support staff including a team concierge within The Athletes Village who will be on hand to ensure your team have everything they need during their stay, from transport to tourism and beyond.
Medical Support
As part of our commitment to your success in the XXIII (23rd) Commonwealth Games, we will provide leading Australian sports medicine physicians who will be based at The Athletes Village to assist your team with any treatment required.
Transport Services
We will provide a private, end-to-end transport service for your team including airport transfers, transport to and from training facilities and transport in and around the region.
